Position Description
The Linguist holds an active DEA government security clearance. The Linguist position executes to the needs and demands of the Lionbridge Federal division’s staff and clients. The Linguist will work on-site at one of our client’s locations. The Linguist is responsible for the delivery of high quality monitoring, transcribing, interpreting, quality control, and validating services both to and from English as requested. The linguist will participate in various administrative duties as requested by the client.
Required Skills/Background
- Near-native language skills in English and target language
- US citizen
- Current US Security Clearance – DEA, Secret, Top Secret, TS/SBI or above
- DLPT / State certification preferred, if available for language
- DEA Experience a plus
- Comprehend slang and colloquial expressions in required foreign language and translate into the English equivalent
- Basic typing skills
